A Message From The Superintendent

Dear Students, Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
It is my honor and privilege to serve you as Superintendent of Schools. I come to you as a proven leader in education with more than 20 years of experience in improving student outcomes. My passion is to ensure that ALL students, no matter the zip code, have equitable opportunities for great teaching and learning.

Our mission in St. John the Baptist Parish Schools is to equip each student with excellent educational experiences and opportunities that will elevate their future as life-long learners - all fostered by a cooperative effort between school and community. In St. John the Baptist Parish School District, we believe ALL students can learn and we will work to ensure that ALL students achieve a high standard of learning. In order to achieve this goal, we must work collaboratively with the support of parents and communities. Together, we will work to narrow the achievement and opportunity gaps that exist within our district.

I look forward to forging a truly collaborative effort with the Board, staff, families, students, and the community, to build upon our many successes and identify new opportunities for our students. Our partnerships are essential as we work hand-in-hand to foster a culture of continuous improvements and excellence in our district. Education is a shared responsibility, and we need all hands-on deck.

Last but not least, I am confident that we will experience many proud moments in this system. Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to serve you.

Educationally Yours,

Cleo Perry Jr., Ed.D.
