Dr. Juanita Hill has been named the Interim Assistant Superintendent for St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools.
Hill has worked in the field of education for the past 24 years, 22 of which have been spent in the St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District. Hill spent eight years as a teacher and eight years as a site administrator before moving into district-level administration. During her time as a district-level coordinator, supervisor and director, Hill has worked closely with both district and school administrators in the areas of assessment, accountability and student data.
Hill said she has pledged the district’s 2019-20 motto to “Level Up’ each day and plans to continue to motivate others to embody the motto by striving to be better than the day before.
“I’m eager to continue my leadership path by collaborating with Interim Superintendent Cory Butler to cultivate and encourage the students and faculty of St. John the Baptist Parish,” she said. “Level Up is not just what we say in St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools, it is what we do!”
Hill holds a bachelor of arts in education from Nicholls State University and a masters of education and an educational leadership doctorate degree, both from Southeastern Louisiana University.
