In memory of The Honorable Chief Judge Madeline Jasmine;
Superintendent Dr. Cleo Perry and staff share their condolences and deepest sympathies during the passing of one of our district’s most prominent alumna.
Chief Judge Jasmine made history in Louisiana as the first Black judge for the 40th Judicial District Court and the first Black Assistant District Attorney for both the 29th and 40th Judicial Districts.
She was a dedicated public servant, as well as a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Her legacy and impact on our state will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace.
Please keep her family in your prayers.
