Winter Weather Message-Update
January 20, 2025
Out of an abundance of caution, all schools and office buildings will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, and Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Due to the winter weather affecting our area on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, we will transition to an asynchronous learning day. All athletic events and extracurricular activities have been canceled Tuesday and Wednesday as well.
Learning packets and/or TEAMS digital lessons were distributed to your child on Friday, January 17, 2025. We appreciate your collaboration in ensuring the success of asynchronous learning during this period. It is important to remain adaptable with at-home learning during closures like this to prevent the need to extend the school year or cancel planned holidays. If any challenges arise (due to the weather) that prevent students from completing their assignments, rest assured that we will provide support to address their needs.
We will continue to monitor the weather forecast and provide updates regarding any potential school closures or delayed starts for Thursday, January 23, 2025. Please tune in to your local news outlets, the SJBPS website at www.stjohn.k12.la.us, and/or our social media platforms for updates.
