Winter Weather Message- Update 5

Dear Parents and Guardians,
The infrastructure of several buildings across St. John the Baptist Parish Schools remains non-operational following the recent weather event.
All schools and office buildings will remain closed through Friday, January 24, 2025. All district/school-sponsored athletic events and extracurricular activities will remain canceled.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and unwavering support as we navigated the recent weather event together. I recognize the challenges that unexpected school closures can bring to families, and I sincerely appreciate your flexibility and resilience during this time.
Please know that decisions to close schools are never made lightly. The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community are, and will always remain my highest priority. Our team closely monitored conditions to ensure that any decisions made were in the best interest of everyone involved.
We are grateful for your partnership and understanding as we worked to prioritize safety while minimizing disruption as much as possible. Moving forward, we will continue to communicate with you promptly and transparently during situations like this.
