The St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District Child Nutrition Department was recognized for achieving 100 percent membership in the Individual School and Administrative Office category with the School Nutrition Association of Louisiana (SNAL).
The award was presented at the 64th Annual State Conference June 14 in Lafayette. Those in attendance from St. John were Terry Charles (Central Office), Bernadine Sanders (CO), Jo Ann Byers (Fifth Ward), Arlene Argust (ESJE), Gabrielle Green (JLO), Patronella Williams (ECW), Jo Ann Borne (WSJH), Denise Gray (Laplace), Rena Gomez (JLO), Cheryl McQuater (JLO), Jocelyn Hart (ECW) and Isika Burfict (JLO) .
"As school nutrition professionals, we attended many professional development training sessions," said Charles, Child Nutrition supervisor. "Our mission is to continue to make a healthy difference in the lives of children and to also ensure the future of the state School Nutrition Association, as well as our local School Nutrition Association."
