The public is invited to experience science, technology, engineering and math with the St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District on Thursday, Nov. 16.
The district’s Family STEM Night will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at Garyville-Mt. Airy Math and Science Magnet School, 240 Highway 54, Garyville.
During the event, students from all of the district’s schools will share their knowledge of STEM subjects by presenting and engaging the public in interactive experiments and activities. Representatives from industry leaders including NASA and Entergy and local universities including Tulane and Southern will also be on hand to with educational presentations and to share the importance of a good STEM education.
The third annual event is being sponsored this year by Acadian Laboratory of Baton Rouge and the St. John the Baptist Parish District Attorney’s Office. Refreshments will be served.
