St. John the Baptist Parish Public School students celebrated reading during annual Read Across America Day events.
Each year, the National Education Association promotes Read Across America as a reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss.
In St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools, guest readers including public officials, community partners and parents read to students. Students also dressed in their best Dr. Seuss inspired outfits. There was also plenty of green eggs and ham to go around.
