The St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District’s Technology Department hosted a Region III Mini-LACUE July 12 at Lake Pontchartrain Elementary School.
Mini-LACUE is held annually for members of the Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators to learn about new technology tools and resources ahead of the start of the new school year.
This year’s mini-conference focused on 21st century teaching and learning. Educators from seven surrounding parishes attended sessions focused on the numerous technology tools and STEM resources available to schools and school districts.
The St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District’s Supervisor of Instructional Educational Technology Bonnie Dinvaut is currently the area director for LACUE Region III, which includes St. John the Baptist, Ascension, St. James, Assumption, St. Mary, Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes.
St. John the Baptist Parish District Attorney Bridget Dinvaut sponsored lunch for the participants.
