Public Input Sought By School Board Members

Community members are invited to share their vision for the future of St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools during a pair of town hall meetings.

The St. John the Baptist Parish School Board Town Hall meetings will take place Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 6 p.m. in the School Board meeting room located behind the Central Office at 118 W. 10th St. in Reserve and on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 6 p.m. at West St. John Elementary School at 2555 Highway 18 in Edgard.

The meetings are an opportunity for residents, members of the business community, educators and all stakeholders in the parish who have an interest in the future of their public school district to share their concerns and ideas with members of the St. John the Baptist Parish School Board.

The format will include a listening session, during which board members will listen as residents offer their input, as well as a question-and-answer period, during which the public will have an opportunity to turn in a card with a question to be answered by board members.

The School Board Town Hall meetings are being organized and facilitated by a professional consulting firm, ED Solutions. The firm also conducted the Superintendent’s Listening Tour earlier this month.

Please join us for this constructive conversation about the present and future of the St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District.
