Special Olympics Slated For March 22
THIS FRIDAY, March 22, is a huge day for our school district's special education department - over 100 athletes are signed up to compete in our first Special Olympics event!
Volunteers can begin arriving at 8 AM, and the torch run will take place at 9:45 AM. After competition our athletes will enjoy lunch, refreshments, and other activities before they head back to school.
The goal of Special Olympics is to foster inclusive environments on and off the field, and to make that happen we need volunteers! For more information on volunteering or donating to the event, contact Special Education Program Coordinator Venus Simms at [email protected].
