Statement Regarding BESE's Decision on LAPC At the June 19 meeting of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE), the membership voted to defer any action on Louisiana Premier Charter School’s application to open a Type 2 charter school. As a result, Louisiana Premier Charter School (LAPC) will not be operating a charter school in St. John the Baptist Parish during the 2019-20 school year.
